Permissions

Aurora separates permissions required from the person running a command from permissions required by the bot.

User permissions

Each command page lists the Discord permissions normally required from the member running that command.

Bot permissions

Bot permissions appear separately. This helps server administrators diagnose cases where a moderator can run a command but Aurora cannot complete the action.

Role hierarchy

Discord role hierarchy still applies. Aurora cannot manage a member or role positioned above its own highest role. The moderator may also need a higher role than the target.

Administrator and owner behavior

Some commands have additional server-owner, administrator, or Aurora-specific restrictions. Check the individual command page before assigning staff access.
